Lac La Biche Farmers' Market

Lakeland Country Fair

Market history- In the early 1970’s a few local ladies with the Horticulture Society had the vision of a market where they could sell their produce and home made products to give them some spending money, so these pioneer ladies made it happen in 1973. For the first while they set up a few tables in the shade of the old arena, then they were allowed to set up inside  the arena lobby. Well that soon became a challenge so in 1976 with the help of a grant they built the pole shelter on the recreational grounds. It was this year in 1976 that the market became an Alberta government approved market. In 1995 the market joined up with the Lac La Biche Agricultural Society and has since then has been under their umbrella. In 2005 our current home, the Lakeland Agricom opened and we finally had a safe indoor place to operate. And the rest, as they say, is history.

1973-2023   For 50 years,  the Lac La Biche Farmers' Market has been the place to visit for fresh-off-the-farm vegetables and fruit, locally prepared meats, delicious baking just out of the oven and unique products and crafts from local artisans and entrepreneurs. Whether you're looking for something for dinner or a unique gift, we've got what you're looking for! We are an Alberta Government approved Farmers' Market!
